‘The World’s Last House’ on screen at Russian filmfest

The Moscow Kurdish filmfest in Russia is screening Iran’s ‘The World’s Last House’.

The Moscow Kurdish Film Festival in Russia has been screening Iranian short flick ‘The World’s Last House’.

Directed by Amir Qolami, the short flick is on the screen at the 1st edition of the Russian event.

Produced by Mahmoud Kordestani, ‘The World’s Last House’ is an 18-min dark comedy about a man who attempts to solve the problems of the villagers. This is while another person is looking for a way to kill him with three bullets.

A tagline for the short film reads, “And death is the uninvited guest of the last house of the world”.

The cast members of the short film are Fereydoun Ansari, Mohammad-Raouf Mohammadi, Foad Mardoukhian, Ashraf Khalili and Arsalan Ghaffari.

‘The World’s Last House’ was screened at the 9th Riurau Film Festival in Spain and the 2020 Athens International Digital Film Festival in Greece.

The Moscow Kurdish Film Festival aims to preserve Kurdish identity, language and culture.

The 2021 edition of the fest that kicked off on July 21 will wrap up on July 25.
